Air Permitting

Air Emissions - Focus can provide a full range of air permitting services, including air emission inventories, regulatory and compliance assessments, preparing permit applications, negotiating with regulatory agencies, participating in public hearings, and conducting performance compliance tests.  Focus personnel have successfully prepared federal, state and local air permit applications addressing:

Best Available Control Technology (BACT), Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) - When necessary, Focus will conduct the required analysis to determine control technology based on established EPA guidance. Our extensive knowledge and design experience with air pollution control processes provides a firm technical and economic basis for technology selection.

Hazardous/Toxic Waste - Many of Focus projects have involved client facilities treating hazardous or toxic chemical wastes that are regulated under RCRA or TSCA.  We can prepare permit applications for incinerators, cement kilns, boiler and industrial furnaces (BIFs) and other combustion systems burning hazardous waste or wastes classified under TSCA, such as PCBs.
